Reverend Nathaniel Lee Jr was born on March 28th, 1947, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Nathaniel Lee, Sr., and the late Jane Calmese Lee. At age 4, the Lee family migrated to Niagara Falls, New York, where Pastor Lee would find his New York roots. After graduating from Niagara Falls HS, Pastor Lee would enroll in the Howard University College of Pharmacy. While attending Howard University, he met his soon-to-be wife, Beverly Ann Buie, the daughter of Boid Buie and Mary Ann Buie.
Fast-forwarding during the ministry of Pastor Willie G. Hall, Pastor Lee received salvation and became a faithful member of the Open Door #4 Church of God in Christ. Here he served as an usher and deacon. After the passing of Pastor Hall, Pastor Lee was led to Berea Church of God in Christ, and during the pastorate of Reverend Phillip Dabney, Sr., Pastor Lee served as a senior deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and a church trustee. After the resignation of Paster Dabny, Pastor Lee (at the time a deacon) entered into ministry and was later appointed by Bishop Glenwood H. Young, Sr. as minister in charge. Pastor Lee was ordained and elder of the church in 2003 and would later be appointed interim shepherd of the Berea assembly.
